Srimudra Furniture
The
Srimudra Furniture Company officially
opened it’s doors on 1 October 2006
after a ceremonial blessing (tambun perd
ran mai) from nine monks. Srimudra
means “everything good” in Thai.
The furniture company was started by
Siriwilai “Moo” Ponjarn and Richard
Feldman. The furniture is a diverse
combination of Thai contemporary along
with unique pieces of original rustic
teak furniture made from reclaimed
teakwood. Richard and Moo travel
throughout Thailand looking for unusual
rustic teakwood designs and contemporary
furniture. Many of the pieces are
“one-of-a’kind” and that’s what makes
them so unique and beautiful. The
creativity of the Thai rustic furniture
makers is truly a work of art.
The rustic designs vary from chairs,
benches, dining tables (made from teak
and redwood), low coffee tables,
sideboards, bookcases, TV tables and
dressers.
